Description

TASSO EL2123 is a medium to large line array speaker system developed by TASSO, which can be widely used in various medium to large halls that combine music or language, such as theaters, multifunctional halls, banquet halls, large sand table displays, exhibition centers, school playgrounds, etc. EL2123 is a dual 12 inch binary line array full frequency module with all neodymium magnets. To further expand the lower playback limit of the system and make the sound system suitable for modern music playback in large and medium-sized halls, the EL2123 system can also be used in conjunction with any TASSO dual 18 inch ultra-low frequency speaker. It is recommended to use TASSO B218 model 6-order bandpass ultra-low frequency speaker system to achieve the best acoustic matching.

The acoustic design of EL2123 adopts a horizontally symmetrical design, which means that the mid to low frequency speakers are installed on both sides of the box, and the center of the box is for high frequency. By adding a few built-in connectors to the number of modules, a high-performance vertical line array speaker system can be formed. The number of full frequency modules used is usually determined based on the required sound pressure level and acoustic reverberation radius in the hall.

EL2123 is equipped with two 12-inch neodymium magnetic cone disc subwoofers and one 1.4-inch throat 3-inch voice coil diaphragm neodymium magnetic compression driver with waveguide horn type tweeters. Passive and active frequency division modes can be selected through the switch at the junction board. In passive frequency division mode, EL2123 has a continuous power of 800W, a rated impedance of 8Ω, a frequency response range of 50Hz - 20kHz, and a sensitivity of up to 104dB. It can also be used as a medium to large hall speaker for language purposes without the configuration of low-frequency speakers.

The key technology of the line array speaker system lies in the technical processing of the high-frequency waveguide. EL2123 adopts a multi manifold waveguide method. This device uses 8 manifolds with equal distance and cross-sectional area to split a point sound source (compressed tweeter driver) into 8 small point sound sources with consistent linear arrangement, thus coupling them into a line sound source. The processing result is that each waveguide can be regarded as a point sound source with similar or even consistent acoustic characteristics. Due to the close enough spacing between each waveguide, the upper frequency limit of the coupled high pitched replay can reach over 18kHz, fully meeting the needs of listening sensation.
